FAQ: Setting up a subscription

Our diverse gym network consists of 4 subscription categories: Category 1-3 and Swiss Fit. These categories are based on the range of services offered by the respective gym. All ACTIV FITNESS gym offer modern equipment and infrastructure. In this way, the four Category 1 gyms distinguish themselves with a streamlined range of services and an attractive price-performance ratio. With the exception of ACTIV FITNESS Solothurn West, these gym do not have a wellness area or a children’s area. Category 1 studios offer video classes (group fitness without an instructor).
Over 90 of our gym are in the category 2 network, which is suitable for those who want to train at different locations. The majority of our Category 2 gym have a children’s area, functional wellness facilities, and extensive strength, endurance, functional training, and group fitness classes. With a category 3 subscription, you benefit from a full range of services and train in all ACTIV FITNESS gym throughout Switzerland. The more than 20 Category 3 locations feature a variety of wellness offerings and larger fitness spaces. If that’s not enough for you, our Swiss Fit subscription also opens up the world of Fitnesspark to you. With Fitnesspark you experience a premium fitness offer with extensive sauna and bathing facilities at 16 locations. The Swiss Fit subscription gives you access to all of movemi AG’s 130+ facilities.

You can purchase your subscription directly at Buy a subscription. You can of course also pass by the studio of your choice, ask for advice, make a cash-free payment and start training straight away.
The minimum age for training with us is 15 years. Please bring the printed declaration of consent from your legal guardian with you when you take out your subscription.
You are welcome to try out a taster session at the studio of your choice. Arrange an appointment online or by phone to make sure you don’t have to wait once you arrive.
You will benefit from access to the ACTIV FITNESS studios of your category. Naturally, the subscription also includes the use of various services, including strength, endurance, classes, steam bath and sauna, the free children’s area, and regular advice and check-up sessions by our professional fitness trainers. And if you don’t have time to come to the studio at some point, your membership also provides you with free access to the online training platform activfitness@home.
As a new member, the remainder of your existing subscription with a competitor will be credited (maximum three months). This offer applies only to new subscriptions taken out at the normal price (no promotional prices).
School pupils, students and apprentices undergoing education or training at a recognised Swiss educational establishment can take out a student subscription. The student subscription is available for members up to the age of 29 who spend at least 50 per cent of their time studying and whose student ID is valid at the start of the subscription (identification must be provided).
The official pension age (65 for men, 64 for women) must have been reached at the start of the subscription. Identification must also be provided. The prices for the pensioner’s subscription can be found here.

Foreign nationals can only pay in installments if they have a valid category B, C, Ci or G residence permit. Alternatively, it is possible to purchase a subscription with advance payment.
