Functional Group Training

Whether it’s called functional group training (FGT) or small group, the aim of this concept is to strengthen your muscles and improve your cardio in the shortest possible time. Unlike traditional group classes, functional group training take place in small groups with a maximum of ten participants, and above all, functional group training take place in the functional areas of your Activ Fitness.
Each studio offers several functional group training each week, and depending on your schedule, you can find one in the morning, at lunchtime or in the evening. Each class is organized and run by a weight-lifting instructor.

Unique training zone
When you take part in a Functional Group Training course, you have the privilege of training in the functional area of your Activ Fitness, which is then privatized for the course. You’ll be able to train with all the equipment available, including the Queenax zone, kettelbells, elastics, TRX, dumbbells, box, battle rope, Core Bag and other small bodybuilding equipment. What’s more, the timers will help you optimize your effort time.
Full-body training
With a duration of 35 minutes, functional group training classes are all full-body. You’ll do a variety of exercises to strengthen your upper and lower body, as well as your abdominal muscles. The duration of effort is in the form of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), which ensures that you burn a maximum number of calories during your workout.

At your first training session, we’ll ask you about your state of health and record your current training status, as well as your personal goals and wishes. We’ll create an individual and detailed training plan for you on this basis. After a detailed introduction, we’ll be happy to support you at regular intervals in your training process if needed. We’ll be happy to discuss your training progress and optimise your training on an ongoing basis so you can achieve the best possible goals.
