Interval training

Stamina, speed and coordination

Interval training (or high-intensity interval training, HIIT) is a sports training method that alternates intense cardio exercise with recovery phases (intervals). The duration and intensity of the recovery phases are designed so that the body doesn’t have time to fully recover. This incomplete recovery triggers maximum results. Depending on the form of interval training, the objectives are to improve strength endurance, speed endurance, lactate tolerance, lactate breakdown, VO2 max and tempo (e.g. competition tempo). Interval training can also improve your movement patterns, making them more efficient (intermuscular and intramuscular coordination).
